River Street, Kingston

Project consisted of major upgrades to a large existing sewage pumping station in the City of Kingston. The architectural work consisted of demolition of the entire building masonry fa├žade and replacement with light steel framing, masonry and curtain walls as well as the replacement of portions of the roof membrane while maintaining the building in a weather tight condition.

Process upgrades were added to reduce the amount of grit being delivered to the sewage treatment plant. This included a new mechanical bar screen, screenings conveyors, grit pumps, grit classifier and channel aeration as well as electrical and instrumentation upgrades.
